Tavi Gevinson: Still Figuring it Out
Tavi Gevinson launched her blog style rookie in 2008 and took the world by storm. At just 13 she was invited to New York Fashion Week, a move that both enraged and delighted the media. Today, Tavi is still blogging on style rookie and has launched an online magazine for teens called ‘Rookie Mag’. Despite not even having left high school yet, she’s seen enormous success with both sites and has become a major player in the fashion world.
Recently TEDx hosted an event where the incomparable Tavi spoke about feminism, being a teenager, pop culture and what makes a strong female character. Despite her insisting she’s ‘Still Figuring it Out’, no one can deny Tavi has wisdom far beyond her years and her speech offers wonderful food for thought. Take a look…
